Inspired by Sturt’s Desert Rose, an Australian flower known for its subtle beauty and resilience in harsh environments, the updated take on the vintage model pairs rugged strength with a refined, floral aesthetic.

Finesse was founded in Melbourne and focuses on amplifying women’s voices in sneaker culture, both locally and globally.

The collaboration between the two brands reinterprets the sneaker through a female lens, combining ASICS’ performance DNA with Finesse’s contemporary perspective.

Sand-colored uppers and a palette of petal tones create a refined look shaped by natural contrasts. Subtle details draw on visual cues from Australia’s desert landscapes, translating them into a calm and harmonious color story.

As with other versions of the GEL-CUMULUS 16, the model combines a mix of materials such as open mesh underlays while retaining its well-known soft cushioning with GEL technology inserts.

Developed in collaboration with Finesse, the ASICS GEL-CUMULUS 16 pairs the timeless appeal of classic running silhouettes with the comfort of a modern running shoe.
