A collaboration of experts: adidas Originals and the Montreal-based design studio JJJJound are launching their new partnership this month with two versions of the legendary Samba, manufactured at the Three Stripes brand’s Scheinfeld factory in Germany.
Inspired by shared values, the design studio brings its unique perspective to one of the Trefoil’s most iconic silhouettes in this first collection.
Founded by Justin R. Saunders in 2006 as a digital mood board, JJJJound has earned a reputation as culture’s timeless tastemaker over the past nearly two decades.
The Montreal-based platform has evolved into a collaborative studio whose goal is to inspire far beyond the design community.
In typical JJJJound fashion, the iconic Samba sneaker gets a premium leather update in two colorways—black with white stripes and white with black stripes.
Each pair is crafted with the utmost attention to detail and enhanced with carefully thought-out touches such as branded insoles and custom vintage tags.
Each pair is crafted by dedicated artisans at the adidas factory in Scheinfeld and shipped in a co-branded box lined with special tissue paper to highlight the spirit of craftsmanship that symbolizes the work of the Montreal-based collective.
The launch of the two Samba sneakers is accompanied by a carefully crafted campaign that pays homage to those who brought the concept of collaboration to life.

The black colorway will be available exclusively on JJJJound.com. A brown colorway of the adidas x JJJJound Samba OG (Mesa/Mesa-Gum - ID8709) is also slated for Spring/Summer 2024.
