Outdoor table tennis has become a huge trend during the COVID-19 pandemic. It’s now quite difficult to snag one of the popular outdoor stone tables in city parks for a match.
Table tennis is actually a classic indoor sport. In the 1970s, adidas launched shoes for virtually every indoor sport in the world. In addition to the obvious ones like basketball, handball, and soccer, it also included so-called niche sports such as squash, weightlifting, and, of course, table tennis. The global brand with the three stripes developed the optimal shoe for each of these sports.

These models have been continuously refined and modernized. One of the best-known model lines for indoor sports is Stabil, for example. It features regularly updated versions for sports like volleyball and handball.
Now, adidas has reintroduced the “Table Tennis” model—in a design just as it first hit the market back then…without a lot of technical bells and whistles. You won’t find any Torsion, Softcell, Boost, or Primeknit here… “Table Tennis OG,” so to speak.

The adidas Table Tennis is a retro sneaker celebrated by collectors. Originally developed as a performance shoe, it now brings a vintage flair to the street style and casual scenes in the “Footwear White/Team College Red/Core White” colorway.

The upper, inspired by adidas cycling designs from the early ’80s, is made of suede and mesh. Thanks to the materials used in its construction, the shoe is ultra-lightweight and breathable.

The adidas Table Tennis comes in a fresh color combination of white, gold, and beige. High-quality suede overlays on the heel and toe box, along with a rubber midsole and outsole, give it that ’80s vintage flair.

The adidas three-stripe logo on the side panel stands out in a bright red outlined in gold. An overlay in the same shade of red adds an eye-catching pop of color to the heel.
The non-slip rubber outsole is specially designed for the fast and agile movements of table tennis. It provides ample traction and a secure stride.
We’re thrilled that adidas has brought back the table tennis shoe… with the same DNA as the original, this model in the “Footwear White/Team College Red/Core White” colorway is available at AFEW-Store, HHV, and VooStore.
