On April 27, adidas Spezial and Liam Gallagher announced the LG2 SPZL sneaker with an intimate concert at King George’s Hall in Blackburn.
Today, the brand with the three stripes and the British cultural icon have teamed up to announce the official launch date of the highly anticipated sneaker.

As a lifelong adidas fan, Liam Gallagher has remained loyal to the brand throughout his career and has formed a close friendship with Spezial founder Gary Aspden.

The latest collaboration between Liam and adidas Spezial, united by their cultural legacy, follows the launch of the original LG SPZL shoe in 2019.

The new shoe combines the timeless elegance of classic, archived styles with the artist’s inimitable perspective.
The Spezial is a worthy successor to the original LG SPZL shoe, as the silhouette combines inspiration from archived adidas squash and indoor models.

The shoe features a chalk white nylon upper,

which sits on a gray and white EVA midsole with a rubber outsole and features shades of white and contrasting materials.

A series of tonal details add texture to the look: light gray flocked stripes, an asymmetrical suede overlay on the toe box with a matching suede overlay on the heel, and an asymmetrical rubber toe cap.

The classic adidas Originals Bluebird Pantone color also returns on the tongue, featuring an instantly recognizable “Endorsed by Liam Gallagher” graphic, while the Mod Trefoil logos on the opposing heels round out the silhouette in signature style.

Each pair comes with custom packaging, a box sticker that references the original 2019 LG SPZL release and pays homage to vintage adidas boxes, and an “Endorsed by Liam Gallagher” tag.

The LG2 SPZL will be available at select retailers starting July 22. Updates to follow. Be sure to keep an eye on our sneaker release calendar as well.
UPDATE: adidas SPEZIAL is back with a complete 2022 summer collection.
