Moncler and adidas Originals present their new collaborative collection, inspired by the journey from mountain peaks to the city.
Here, Moncler’s mountain roots meet the urban heritage of adidas Originals, with functionality taking shape on both sides of the collaboration.

The campaign, titled “The Art of Explorers,” focuses on the explorer themselves. Since the human spirit of adventure is a central ideal of both brands, the explorer is highlighted as a shared symbol—first through a series of AI-generated adventurers and ultimately through a collection of unique mixed-media sculptures.

The campaign’s slogan, “Where Originality Meets Extraordinary,” alludes to Moncler’s positioning as a long-standing innovator in performance and functionality and to adidas Originals’ enduring legacy as a pioneer of culture and creativity.

Following on from “The Art of Genius” show, where the collaboration was first unveiled in February at London Fashion Week, artists from various disciplines were invited to create humanoid explorers inspired by the collection’s looks.

The sculptures by Gary Card, Ibby Njoya, and Kate Tabor were brought to life by photographer Hanna Moon, as were the real-life explorers, who were styled by Ai Kamoshita and accessorized and made up by Isamaya Ffrench.

In addition, a new immersive platform is being launched on moncler.com, where exclusive products and details of the collection are presented in a digital gallery reminiscent of the vibrant street scene of the metropolis where “The Art of Genius” show took place earlier this year.

Through a combination of sound, video, and 3D animation, users are immersed in a city street where exclusive products and 3D artworks are gradually revealed, and the collection can be purchased via digital billboards.

The Moncler x adidas Originals collection features long and short puffer jackets as well as track jackets and vests, in which Moncler’s signature silhouettes—crafted from iconic lacquered nylon—are reinterpreted with adidas Originals details such as Adi-Break inserts.
A mix of vibrant colors in shades of green, orange, and red evokes traffic lights, then shifts between concrete gray and sky blue, through off-white and organic dark green.

The winding stitching, jacquards, and prints are inspired by the patterns skiers create on snow-covered slopes.
Moncler gives the adidas Originals NMD a winter makeover in GORE-TEX, complemented by padding. The iconic adidas Originals Campus has also been wrapped in padding to match the Moncler look.

The Moncler x adidas Originals collection will be available starting October 5, 2023, at select Moncler and adidas stores. Keep an eye on our sneaker release calendar.
