This season, adidas Originals has teamed up with the progressive Ukrainian label KSENIASCHNAIDER to present an extraordinary collection featuring a wide variety of imaginative and unconventional clothing, shoes, and accessories.
Founded in 2011 by Ksenia and Anton Schnaider, KSENIASCHNAIDER is an independent fashion house based in Kyiv that focuses on creating “boundary-pushing ready-to-wear,” denim, and upcycled clothing and accessories.
Combining Ksenia’s design language with Anton’s technical expertise and their inherent playful sense of humor, the partners’ eponymous label challenges established conventions to craft a new vision of the future.
True to KSENIASCHAIDER’s creative vision of “Design minus Design,” the first collaborative collection between the Trefoil and the Kyiv-based label offers a fresh perspective on the iconic adidas looks.
The collection consists of a range of garments that blend the Ukrainian label’s signature aesthetic with the unmistakable adidas brand codes.
On the one hand, a range of denim pieces—including jeans, jackets, and shirt dresses—is enhanced with frayed edges, voluminous cuts, and unique details.
Additionally, timeless adidas classics are reinterpreted: adiColor tracksuits, corsets, and dresses are reimagined as patchwork pieces.
The footwear collection also includes eye-catching reissues of the adi2000 sneakers,
Forum Mid, and
Superstar. A favorite detail here is the subtle price tag motif on the heel.
For the accessories, KSENIASCHAIDER uses black denim fabric as a base and transforms it into unexpected silhouettes, which are then accented with fluorescent yellow soccer cleats.
