Last year, adidas Originals and Brain Dead unveiled their collaborative take on the iconic Stan Smith. This season, the Los Angeles-based label returns with a Spring/Summer 2025 collection that reimagines the adidas Forest Hills in a fresh new light.

Instead of drawing on typical tennis aesthetics, the collection deliberately breaks with the familiar images of the “country club” tennis world and interprets the look much more unconventionally.

The adidas Forest Hills was originally introduced in 1976 and was considered the lightest tennis shoe of its time.

With a weight of just 247 grams and a ventilation system inspired by aerospace technology, the shoe quickly became synonymous with performance and innovation — and later became part of international streetwear culture.

Brain Dead and adidas Originals now present a new vision of this classic court game. With a rough suede upper, leather stripes and co-branded details, the classic design is reimagined in eye-catching two-tone color combinations — earthy tones meet contrasting accents.

The Apparel collection also follows this approach: tennis styles are reinterpreted through the experimental Brain Dead aesthetic. Hand-drawn graphics adorn tracktops, crewnecks, and t-shirts, while polos, shorts, and trackpants incorporate classic cuts and natural colors — for looks that are wearable yet unusual.
