After adidas Originals and Brain Dead have collaborated on several occasions—including projects centered on tennis culture and Japanese wrestling style—both partners are set to unveil a nostalgic head-to-toe capsule collection in December. This time, the collection draws inspiration from the classic sports and video game aesthetics of the 2000s.

The apparel and footwear are inspired by design codes from the adidas archive, featuring reflective silver details and striking panel constructions, and are complemented by matching accessories.

The apparel lineup includes several key pieces, such as a Climacool track top inspired by Japanese noragi with matching track pants, a football jersey with a metallic finish and matching shorts, and an all-over print goalkeeper jersey, complemented by an additional track top, track pants, and a T-shirt.

The drop includes two footwear models: the Climacool 2 and the Taekwondo Mei.
The Climacool 2 was released in 2003 as an evolution of the OG Climacool and was equipped with a futuristic vent system at the time.

Brain Dead now reinterprets the model with metallic vents, reflective green mesh, and yellow accents.
The Taekwondo Mei Brain Dead features a black upper, white stripes, and an off-white outsole.

The adidas Originals x Brain Dead collection will be released on December 18 in limited quantities and will be available at select retailers: 43einhalb, AFEW, Asphaltgold, BSTN, and SUPPA.
