Starting with the “Super Ape Star” in 2003, adidas and BAPE have left their mark on culture over the past two decades with a series of highly recognizable collaborations.
To mark the Japanese brand’s 30th anniversary and the 20th anniversary of their partnership, the Three Stripes and the Japanese label have teamed up once again to celebrate for a year and unveil five unique and highly anticipated products.
Throughout the year, numerous BAPE details and graphics will appear on signature silhouettes, as the two brands cross-reference their respective archives to create timeless looks in unexpected ways.
To kick off this unique partnership, adidas Originals and BAPE will begin their celebrations with the launch of a new collaborative version of the Campus 80s sneaker.
In typical playful fashion, the classic silhouette gets a BAPE makeover, with the BAPE STA™ appliqué replacing the Three Stripes normally found on one side of the shoe.
Co-branding details, gold heel patches, and gold laces complete the look, while a custom-printed box rounds out the package.
An animated video that brings the BAPE logos and symbols to life, along with a variety of key moments the two brands have shared over the years, announces the arrival of the collaboration.
