adidas has teamed up with the Horween Leather Company in Chicago to feature premium leather on the adidas Busenitz Pro.
The Horween Leather Company has been around for 112 years. They have been producing premium leather in Chicago since 1905. Since the early 1940s, the official NFL football has been made from Horween Leather.
Later, the official NBA game ball from Spalding was added to the lineup. The Horween Leather Company is therefore an integral part of U.S. sports culture.
The Busenitz low-top skate sneaker features an upper made entirely of Horween premium leather. What makes it special is that, instead of the usual pig or cow leather, it’s made from bison leather—in true American style.
In terms of color, the Dennis Busenitz Signature Sneaker from adidas comes in a rich burgundy red with embossed branding.
The adidas Busenitz Pro “Horween Leather” was released on April 30, 2017, for 120 euros. It’s now only available on the secondary sneaker market, such as KLEKT or StockX.
