J: Ich will nicht l\u00fcgen…ich hab das vor Eeeewigkeiten mal gemacht…aber das war nichts!<\/p>\n

A: Gibt es alte oder neue Materialien oder Arten von Flecken auf Schuhen, vor denen Du oder Deine Kollegen immer noch Angst haben oder die einfach schwer zu reinigen sind?<\/p>\n

J: F\u00fcr mich ist Canvas das am schwierigsten zu reinigende Material. Es ist nicht unm\u00f6glich aber Canvas neigt dazu Flecken zu behalten.<\/p>\n

A: Gibt es Sneaker die Dich auch schmutzig begeistern k\u00f6nnen? Als Beispiel…f\u00fcr mich ist ein leicht vergilbter Vintage Sneaker ein ansprechender Look…oder ein wirklich fertiger Chuck All Star kann besser aussehen als ein komplett neuer\u2026<\/p>\n

J: Ich bevorzuge Vans und Chucks, die ein bisschen ramponiert sind. Fast alles andere muss schon fresh aussehen. Aber ich liebe auch ein paar Beater.<\/p>\n

A: Bei sneaker.de geht es um den Einzelhandel. Den Verkauf von Sneakern in echten Ladenlokalen. Wenn man \u00fcber die Reinigung von Sneakern nachdenkt, f\u00e4llt einem nicht direkt ein station\u00e4res Konzept dazu ein. Ihr habt aber mehrere Drop-off-services und einen Flagship Store er\u00f6ffnet. <\/p>\n

Wie wichtig ist die Vermittlung von Sneaker-Kultur \u00fcber station\u00e4ren Handel f\u00fcr Dich? <\/p>\n

All die vertrauten Gesichter zu sehen, die in den Laden kommen, und auch neue Leute pers\u00f6nlich zu treffen. Ich liebe die Energie des Ladens. In ein paar Monaten er\u00f6ffnen wir in Tokio – also wenn Du mal in Tokio bist, komm vorbei!<\/p>\n

A: Habt Ihr jemals einen schmutzigen Sneaker bekommen bei dem Ihr dachtet \u201cIch wei\u00df nicht was hier passiert ist und ich habe Angst zu fragen?\u201d<\/p>\n

J: Das passiert sehr h\u00e4ufig.<\/p>\n

A: Hast Du oder Deine Kolleg*innen mal ein Modell bekommen bei dem Ihr gemerkt habt, dass es ein Fake ist? Habt Ihr das dem Kunden verraten?<\/p>\n

J: Ja und ja. Zum einen, wenn wir sicher sind, dass es sich um einen Fake-Sneaker handelt, also wenn es echt ein schlechter Fake ist, m\u00fcssen wir den Schuh eventuell an den Kunden zur\u00fcckgeben. Die hier verwendeten Materialien k\u00f6nnen bei der Reinigung unvorhersehbar reagieren. Heutzutage gibt es richtig gut gemachte F\u00e4lschungen die manchmal sehr schwer zu erkennen sind.<\/p>\n

A: Gibt es eine lustige Kundengeschichte, zum Beispiel jemand der Eure Produkte f\u00fcr die Reinigung von etwas ganz anderem als Sneaker benutzt?<\/p>\n

A: You have several cleaning drop of services, was there ever a pair dropped of where your colleagues thought „amazing that someone wore those\u201d? For example an Air Mag, a signed basketball shoe or any model which made them thinking „why are those dirty, they are supposed to never be worn in the first place“…<\/p>\n

J: Honestly I\u2019m happy to see crazy heat come in worn. That\u2019s what shoes are for – wear them and enjoy them. We\u2019ll get them back fresh again for you! <\/p>\n

When thinking about a sneaker cleaner you wouldn’t think about a brick and mortar concept behind it, but you opened up various drop off services and a flagship store. How important is the sneaker culture transported through brick and mortar for you? <\/p>\n

J: Brick and mortar is very important to us. I\u2019d say it\u2019s the heart of the brand. Seeing all the familiar faces come through the shop, and meeting new people\u2026I just love the energy of the store. We\u2019re actually opening in Tokyo in a couple months – so when in Tokyo, come through!<\/p>\n

A: Did you or your colleagues ever get a model where you noticed it is a fake? Did you tell the customer?<\/p>\n

J: Yes and yes. For one, if we\u2019re certain it\u2019s a fake, like if it\u2019s a terrible fake, we may turn it away because the materials can be unpredictable when cleaning them. Nowadays, fakes have gotten really good. It can be hard to tell sometimes. <\/p>\n
